Painted Dot Mandala: Aura

Learn the basic techniques of dot painting as we work to create a beautiful mandala. In the first part of class, participants will receive step-by-step guidance to practice common mandala elements such as symmetry, petals, and teardrops.
In the second part of class, participants will work independently to create their own beautiful painting on a 6" x 6" canvas board with instructor support as needed. All materials will be provided.
Class Note: To help us honor 577's commitment to sustainability, please bring your tools if you are a returning participant. New participants will receive a new set of tools to keep.

Community Instructor: Shalene Germani
Shalene is a self-described "non-creative" who has found joy and peace in the art of dot mandalas. A sign language interpreter by profession, with more than twenty years of teaching and mentoring experience, she decided to apply her skills to teaching dot art via Zoom during the pandemic with her online presence, Dotting with Friends. Now she is thrilled to bring the art of dot mandalas live and in-person to the 577 community!
