Hailing from Los Angeles, Painted Bird relocated to the UK in 2019 and recruited 2 new members. They continue to replicate the sound of Siouxsie and the Banshees live with authenticity and dedication, receiving rave gig reviews. Laurence Hedges, author of ‘Siouxsie and the Banshees - The Early Years’ described the band in 2023 as “The closest we will ever get to Siouxsie and The Banshees live since they split up. Brilliant!”.This show at the Victoria will feature songs spanning the 2 decades when Siouxsie and the Banshees were the pioneers and leaders of the punk, goth and post-punk movements. Their reach continues to this day with bands such as Garbage, Faith No More, Johnny Marr, The Cure, Killing Joke, Red Hot Chill Peppers, Duran Duran (to name a few) citing them as huge influences.
