Explore different colour combinations and have fun!Design and produce a vibrant replica of your house (or any house) out of painted wood. Explore different colour combinations to find one that makes your design really stand out! Working with local artist and maker Emily Parkin, you will experience a wonderful workshop full of vibrant colour, quirky design and plenty of fun!
In this class you will:
• Be brave with colour and learn how to select colours that compliment each other.
• Carry out some basic woodworking using wood filler, wire wool and wood screws to assemble.
• Learn how to apply layers of colour using masking tape, acrylic paint and pens.
• Transfer an image from a photo onto paper and then wood.
You will take away with you a finished wooden house and the skills to make more.
Before the class:
Think about which house you would like to reproduce, and message me a photo of it so I can cut the wood out to the right shape. If you don’t have a particular house in mind, that’s ok, I will bring along a selection of wooden house blanks for you to choose one.
Skill Level:
Suitable for beginners as well as more experienced artists and makers looking for a new project.
Cost:
£60 per person - includes all materials and equipment use.
