Paint Workshop: Introduction to Color Theory

If you have ever struggled to plan a cohesive color scheme or wondered why certain colors clash while others harmonize, this introductory workshop on color theory will provide theoretical and practice knowledge to take the guesswork out of your painting.

Topics covered will include:

- The three elements of color
- Using the color wheel
- How to use color harmonies
- Mixing colors from primaries
- The relationship between color and light

All tools and materials will be provided though you are welcome to bring your own tools if you prefer. Students will be able to take home their paint brush and the model we paint in class. This class will cover some more advanced topics, but beginners are welcome and encouraged.
