Paint with the Kitties
The evening begins with the children gathering around to listen to the whimsical story "If You Give a Cat a Cupcake," authored by Laura Numeroff and illustrated by Felicia Bond. This charming tale is sure to capture the children's imaginations as it follows a lively, energetic cat whose simple request for cupcake sprinkles sparks a whirlwind, town-spanning adventure that always loops right back to the beginning.
Our special guest reader for the evening, Connie Dziak, a dedicated cat rescuer with a heartwarming passion for animals, will bring the story to life with engaging storytelling. Adding to the excitement, Connie will be joined by some very special kitty guests that will be present at the event, each one eagerly looking for loving homes and will be available for adoption.
After the story session, the creativity will continue to flow as children are invited to channel their artistic talents. They will choose from two adorable bisque cats, ready to be transformed into colorful masterpieces. The children can paint these bisque cats as a lovely keepsake of this fun-filled evening, allowing them to express their individuality and creativity.
To top off this wonderful experience, delicious cupcakes will be served, along with refreshing ice cream, ensuring that the kids have a sweet treat to enjoy as they paint and create. The cost for this enjoyable evening is $20 per child, which is non-refundable. Please note that children must be accompanied by an adult, but there is no additional charge for parents or chaperones who wish to sit with their child during the event, making it a perfect family outing.
Registration for this special event must be completed by July 20. Don’t miss out on this extraordinary opportunity to combine art, literacy, and a love for animals in a magical evening that your child will cherish for years to come. This event not only nurtures creativity but also fosters a sense of community and compassion towards animals.
