The Rahr-West Art Museum is thrilled have the third year of Paint Out! This year we are excited to be collaborating with the Wisconsin Maritime Museum. Paint Out is plein air painting event in Manitowoc, Wisconsin.
We encourage the public to join in and paint along, engage with professional artist demonstrations, have a refreshment at the Wisconsin Maritime Museum Rooftop Deck, and enjoy the scenery of the lakefront and downtown Manitowoc.
What is plein air painting?
En plein air (in open air) is the act of painting outdoors, utilizing the landscape as a direct reference.
We are delighted to have three renowned demonstrating artists this year:
