Paint at Paseo

Every 1st Thursday of the month come enjoy a FREE 90 minute painting class at the Paseo Nuevo! As a part of Downtown Santa Barbara 1st Thursday Art Walk, Paint at Paseo is a 90-minute painting class provided by artists at MCASB.

Each month, different local artists will lead you through a 90-minute painting session designed for all ages and skill levels. All materials, including canvases, paints, aprons and brushes, are provided, and you'll take home a beautiful painting. Best of all, this monthly event is free! Bring your family and friends to share the joy of creativity.

For June and July, workshops build on the visual language from the Lotus Dynasty series. June's theme centers around a bright hibiscus-and-bird composition with a warm summer sun atmosphere. July's piece will feature a Fire Horse presence emerging through a mountain-inspired landscape. These are designed to be welcoming, family-friendly, and accessible, while connected to the larger cultural storytelling.

Museum of Contemporary Art Santa Barbara (MCASB) seeks to enrich lives and inspire critical thinking through meaningful engagement with the art and ideas of our time.
