Just putting feelers out there to see if anyone would like to come along to a paint and sip class at the Aberfoyle Community Centre or a cafe somewhere (I have two I want to talk to)? I’ve had a few people tell me that I should run art classes for adults with wine so here I am ? #help
The price would be $20-40 per person (realistically $30 I think unless it’s in a cafe which may increase the price) for 2-3 hours and would include your own blank or printed 30cmx30cm canvas, paint, brushes, jars/water cups, table protectors, cloths, extra brushes and possibly paint markers so you can customise your colour scheme to match your decor at home. There may be an option for a paint by number kit but please be aware that due to their size, these kits take far longer than the allocated time to finish. I managed to finish the first coat of the example piece in a solid 3 1/2 hours.
*I’m hoping to track down some canvas scraps so you can make a pair of hoop earrings from your test swatches.
I’ll do all the set up and most of the pack up so you’ll be able to walk out stress free at the end of the night!
It would be BYO food and drinks plus I’m even happy to apply for a liquor license! Or I can run one for you and your friends at home.
I’m painting one tomorrow and will have a better idea of how long the canvases take to paint. I’m hoping it’s around the 2 hour mark to keep the cost down. The number of attendees will also impact the price etc.
