Paint and Learn - Pet Portrait Edition

Join Professional Artists Morgan and Shari for an in-person painting session where skill building and creativity meets fun! Bring a photo of one of your furry friends and we will help you learn the techniques and give 1:1 guidance for bringing out your pet's personality on canvas. No pressure, just great art! Whether you're a newbie or a seasoned painter, this event is perfect for anyone looking to unwind and get inspired.

Class will begin with introductions and a lesson on how to sketch your basic outlines, how to evaluate and replicate your chosen image while also choosing how to artfully modify thinge in the photo you might not want in the final painting. Your instructors will be there to support, guide you, and answer questions throughout the class. This class will be focusing on a releastic representation of your chosen pet, but if you desire to replicate a particular art style we can also assist with any adjustments you would like to make. Feel free to explore the gallery and peek into the numerous professional art studios onsite for inspiration!

By the end of the class, students will have their own original artwork and will have gained the skills and confidence to keep creating beyond class. All skill levels are welcome; this class is perfect for curious beginners to seasoned artists.

We'll provide latex and acrylic paints, paper, an 11x14 canvas, a set of 10 brushes you'll be able to take home and use in the future, and a bunch of cool and weird objects you can utilize to scrape and drag across the paint for variety! Remember, this is a painting class, and paint is often messy. Keep this in mind when choosing what clothing to wear, Your brand new white top may become an abstract art piece if you're not careful. Grab a group of your friends and your creative thinking! There is free parking for attendees right in front of the studio entrance.
