January 22 – 26, 2024 will mark the sixth annual National Gun Violence Survivors Week — a time when we come together to share and amplify the stories and voices of gun violence survivors who live with the impact of gun violence every day of the year.
Every day in America, at least 120 people are shot and killed, more than 200 are shot and wounded, and countless others experience the collective trauma of gun violence.
This year, National Gun Violence Survivors Week will be highlighting the role of gun violence survivors as changemakers who are leading efforts to end gun violence by building, strengthening and unifying their communities.
Throughout the week, we’ll be uplifting the work of survivors across the country and lived experiences with gun violence to highlight the ripple effect of trauma caused by gun violence and the collective action these changemakers are taking to fortify their communities and move towards healing.
Join National Gun Violence Survivors Week this year and be a part of the movement towards CommUNITY Growth, where survivors lead the way towards a brighter, safer future.

Call To Action 2023
Cleveland will lead the nation in crime reduction within the next 3-5 years.
Objectives
(1) To collaborate and share strengths among groups to address gun violence prevention, gun legislation, and healing for survivors.
(2) To provide a space to share information about events and activities that address gun violence prevention, gun legislation, and healing for survivors.
We are:
- Working together to engage and empower our neighbourhoods to address needs, questions and concerns surrounding gun violence, crime, and social injustice.
- Advocating for change that will improve and enhance our neighbourhoods.
- Providing resources and information along with crime alternative activity
Each TWR organization and individual contributes their expertise, experience, knowledge, and talents to collectively address the crisis of gun violence and crime through prevention, legislation, and healing. We support each other and partner to expand services and to reach more individuals and families in areas most at risk to gun violence.
Speakezie Go Hard is a cultural entity that provides conflict resoultion to victims of violene through the use of art therphy.
Speakezie is a place where you can be unapolgetticlaly authentic. A place where you can heal. A place where you can let it all out!!!
Speakezie focuses on a niche problem that goes overlooked by many organizations, and that is providing support and healing for the aftermath of trauma stimulated by systemic violence. Through our open mic strategy, Speakezie uses targeted media art therapy to focus on how the mind and body respond to traumatic events; recognize that symptoms are adaptive coping strategies rather than pathology. Emphasis on cultural sensitivity and empowerment; and helping to move individuals from being not only survivors, but ultimately to becoming "thrivers" through skill-building, support networks, and resilience enhancement. Speakezie's art therapy approach empowers and enhances an individual's capacity to self-regulate effectively and modulate the body's reactions to traumatic experiences in the earliest stages to set the stage for eventual trauma integration and recover
