About this Event
All this aboard the beautiful Theatreship docked at Canary Wharf to celebrate the first of many London School of Samba events to welcome our 40th anniversary.
This Pagode marks a special moment for the school because April was the month we performed our first gig in 1984! It will also raise funds to support London School of Samba in its mission to share samba and its culture, educate, and raise awareness of Brazilian Carnival Arts in the UK and internationally.
Special guest singer Major Pagode from Sao Paulo, Brazil, and London School of Samba musicians and friends will perform a range of well-known authentic Brazilian songs. Feel free to bring an instrument, play with the band, dance or simply watch, drink, and enjoy.
Come as you like - dress down or dress up.

- Venue: Theatreship - a non-moving ship
- It is a ticketed event - £8 entry /£5 discounted entry for London School of Samba members
- Space is limited, so please book in advance
- 18 + event - No ID, no entry
