Readings in Marathi
Attend an evening celebrating the timeless stories of D. B. Mokashi, one of the most distinguished voices in Marathi literature.
A Sahitya Akademi Award-winning author, Mokashi was renowned for portraying the lives of ordinary people with extraordinary sensitivity. His acclaimed works, including Anand Ovari, Palkhi, Dev Chalale, Paraganda and Kamsutrakar Vatsyayan, marked by profound human values, keen observations and a lyrical command of language, occupy a cherished place in Marathi literature.
Marmabandh presents select stories from Kathamokashi, a collection of 25 of his finest short stories, edited by eminent writer Arvind Gokhale.
The readings will be brought to life by four noted artistes: Aishwarya Narkar, a leading face of Marathi theatre, television and cinema; Prasad Phanse, an accomplished voice artiste known for his powerful stage presence and literary performances; Sharvari Patankar, a talented actress and writer and Sharad Ponkshe, one of the finest actors of Marathi theatre and films.
