Paddle with Presence is back again for another season!
Bask in summer's golden light and truly take in the world around you on this unique experience that invites you to soften, awaken your senses, and drop deeply into presence.
As we glide through the water, we'll progressively move into paddling in silence, allowing the gentle rhythm of our strokes and the natural sounds of the river to become our meditation, creating space for deeper presence and connection with both the world around us and one another.
Enjoy a soulful journey where breath, movement, and quiet connection in community come together.
What and How:
Our journey begins at the Dominion Park Beach, where we’ll gather pre-sunset to prepare.
Your kayak guide will provide essential safety procedures and basic paddling instruction before we set out.
We’ll then gather at Sunset Plaza with your wellness facilitator for a short session to learn a few grounding practices designed to gently awaken all five senses, inviting a deeper connection to the water, the land, and the moment.
From there, we’ll launch from the South Bay region of the Wolastoq (Saint John River) and trace the shoreline towards Grand Bay, soaking in the golden hues of the setting sun.
This unique experience invites you to awaken your senses and find your flow as you glide silently through the stillness of a summer’s evening.
Let the rhythm of the water and the richness of nature anchor you in the present moment as the sun dips below the horizon.
Upon returning to shore, we’ll close with a reflective circle, integrating the evening’s experience before parting ways.
Come sit silently or share what's alive in you.
Why:
- Slow down and reconnect with your body, breath, sensory awareness, and the wonders of the natural world.
- Immerse yourself in the beauty of summer on the Wolastoq River at sunset.
- Experience the calming rhythm of water and gentle movement.
- Ground yourself through simple somatic practices.
- Experience life with intention and depth of presence.
- Be part of a supportive, heart-centered community.
- Give yourself space to reflect, release, and reawaken.
- Leave feeling more centered, alive, and connected to yourself, nature, and community.
Duration:
Approximately 2.5 hours
Arrive by 4:50PM for a 5PM start.
