Created by renowned Kathak exponent, choreographer, researcher, and educationist Dr. Nisha Mahajan, the film particularly resonates with artistes and seekers navigating the complexities of contemporary life. It reflects upon the conservation and channelization of creative energy through the wisdom of Yoga, offering a deeply relevant experience for performers, practitioners, and audiences alike.
The film has been screened at prestigious cultural institutions across India including India Habitat Centre and India International Centre, New Delhi; Kathak Kendra, New Delhi; and Aakruti Kathak Kendra, Hyderabad. It was also nominated for the New Delhi Film Festival 2025.
About the Filmmaker – Dr. Nisha Mahajan
Dr. Nisha Mahajan is a Delhi-based Kathak exponent, choreographer, researcher, and educator trained in the Lucknow Gharana tradition. Her artistic journey includes advanced training at Kathak Kendra, New Delhi, eighteen years of tutelage under Guru Late Rohini Bhate, and mentorship from Late Kamalini Nagarajan Dutt. Her work explores the intersections of Kathak, Yoga, music, improvisation, and holistic artistic growth, while also engaging with themes of rhythm, movement, and therapy.
The screening will be followed by an interactive discussion with the filmmaker.
