MTMI's PACS Administrator Course aims at providing all of the essential skills and knowledge necessary for the successful planning, implementation, and maintenance of a PACS (now called MIMPS by the FDA), or other radiology systems.
This program helps prepare students for the Certified Imaging Informatics Professional (CIIP) certification exam. Major topics include a comprehensive guide to DICOM and HL7, teleradiology, PACS architecture, integrating the healthcare enterprise, and electronic medical records. In addition, they will gain insights into the cutting-edge imaging informatics platform integrated into the system.
The deployment of Picture Archiving and Communication Systems (PACS) in radiology is changing the way imaging services are provided. Enterprise PACS management represents an ongoing challenge for Radiology and IT personnel and their vendor partners.
This program provides 38 hour(s) of Category A continuing education credit for radiologic technologists approved by ASRT and recognized by the ARRT and various licensure states, and 3 points toward the ABII's 7-point qualification system required for certification.
