LINE-UP UPDATE!
Sadly, due to a personal issue, Vivek Shraya has had to cancel her performance on Jan 24 during Winterruption YEG. The festival is thrilled to welcome Toronto's PACKS as her replacement.
Madeline Link, who makes music under the moniker PACKS, has always found inspiration in her surroundings. When it came to newest effort Melt the Honey (her second full-length in the space of a year), she wanted to look beyond the mundane spaces that had informed much of her previous work. Melt the Honey is the band at their most fully-formed yet; unafraid to experiment while simultaneously doubling down on their signature quirky earworms that reverberate with universal appeal.
Catch PACKS on January 24 at the CKUA Beresh Arts Den alongside Montreal's Mart Avi and locals Jillian Treidler. All previous tickets will be honoured.

Winterruption YEG takes place on Treaty 6 territory, the traditional territories of the nehiyaw, Dene, Stoney Nakoda, Nakota Sioux, and Annishnabe. We would also like to acknowledge this land is home to Metis and Inuit peoples. The volunteers, producers, patrons, and artists humbly admit that we are learning what it means to be on Treaty territory and unceded land. We recognize the land as an act of reconciliation and gratitude to those whose territory we reside on or are visiting. We know there is still important work that needs to be done to honor the treaties and. Indigenous histories, languages, and cultures influence our music community, and we are grateful to be guests on this land.
