The Pacific Hackers Association is excited to announce two full-day events featuring a variety of CTFs, BBQ, drinks, and prizes.

Please Note:

• All Ages,
• BBQ Provided.
• Mandatory Pre-registration: The venue policy requires pre-registration; a Meetup RSVP is not sufficient.

Are you planning to attend Hacker Summer Camp for the first time and don’t know what to expect? Don’t worry; we will go over Hacker Summer Camp and provide guidance on what to expect when you make it to Sin City.

Are you planning to play a CTF but don’t know where to start? Don’t worry; we will have a few CTFs to get you started. These CTFs will expose individuals thinking of playing CTFs at BSidesLV or DEFCON. No experience is required to attend, as you will learn everything you need to know about playing CTF games. The winner of the main CTF will win a DEFCON ticket.

What to bring:

• Computer with your OS of Choice (We Recommend Kali Linux)
• Virtual Machines (pre-installed), if you don’t want to use your main computer.
• Windows VM with Flare VM Installed.
• Kali Linux VM
• Willingness to learn and have fun.

Friday:

• 1:00 PM – Welcome: A word from Pacific Hackers and Sponsors
• 1:30 PM – CTF 101: How & Why to play CTF games by Alevski, Marco
• 2:00 PM – Let the Game Begin!!!
• 6:00 PM – Main CTF Closing

Saturday:

• 1:00 PM – Welcome: A word from Pacific Hackers and Sponsors
• 1:30 PM – CTF 101: How & Why to play CTF games by Alevski, Marco
• 2:00 PM – BBQ Cookoff & Let the Game Begin!!!
• 6:00 PM – Main CTF Closing and Winner Announcement.

Prizes:

• 1st Place - DEF CON Ticket
• 2nd Place - BSidesLV Ticket
• 3rd Place - BSidesLV Ticket
• 4th through 10th - Various Prices

Rules:

• Solo Players Only for Ticket Prizes: Please note that DEF CON and BSidesLV tickets are for individual participants only. Feel free to form teams and play together, but only solo players will be eligible to win the ticket prizes.
• Prize Redemption at Hacker Summer Camp: Winners must be physically present at the event and plan to attend Hacker Summer Camp in Las Vegas to receive their tickets. We'll need to verify your presence and collect necessary information on-site for prize distribution.
• Compete on Both Days for the Best Score: Your overall score will be calculated from your performance in both the Friday and Saturday games. Participating on both days is highly recommended to give yourself the best chance of winning.
