The Pachuco Boogie flyer artistically represents several decades and uses symbolism specific to New Mexico, Albuquerque, and our connection to New Mexico as Mexican indigenous peoples, Chican@'s. Using artistic freedom, the clothing is representative of the Zoot Suit styles from the 1940's, the Impala is from the 1960's, the cityscape is current day Albuquerque, the balloons represent Albuquerque over the decades, the Zia symbol is a mid-1900's version of a New Mexico license plate, the design work on the Impala is a combination of fine line traditional line work connected to our indigenous symbols.
