Kathi and Ed are generous human beings, people that deeply appreciate live music, and have opened their hearts to give financial support to many musicians in this city. They also support Hermann’s Jazz Club in many ways, and have been wanting for so long to organize a big fundraising show, all the funds collected at the door will be used to give Hermann’s a financial injection. This type of event represents a lot more than monetary help, it also reminds everyone about the importance of putting thoughts into finding ways to help this club and inspires other musicians to do the same. After a long wait for the appropriate circumstances, the fundraiser now has a date, and Pablo Cardenas feels honored to be asked by Kathi to use his band for this special occasion.
Pablo has the pleasure to present for the first time ever his “Latin Funk Night” at Hermann’s Upstairs”, November 5th, 8:30pm, doors 7pm, which will be the biggest fundraising party that has ever happened in the history of this legendary Club.
Latin Funk Night is all about dancing and enjoying your favorite Funk, Soul, R & B, and Pop all time hits in Cuban style! Music by Bill Withers, Marvin Gaye, Steve Wonder, Michael Jackson and more.
All stars line up with:
Shanna Dance, Leif Bradshaw and Rebecca Barritt on vocals, Rob Johnson bass, Monik Nordine Sax, Hector Ramos congas, Cyril Lojda drums, Nicolas Marquez percussion and David Santana guitar.
