—Pablo Bozzi—
the Berlin-based, Toulouse-born producer and DJ—understands the intricacies of movement and rhythm. As an intoxicating elixir of 90s-inspired house elements that collide with modern components, his DJ sets are a surge of uplifting energy that mesmerize dance floors around the world. From electrifying vocalized samples to track progressions that boil and throb
into a colossal apex, the seduction of Bozzi is palpable and all too real. With touches of progressive and trance-infused house, Bozzi’s productions are founded on the pursuit of hybrid dance genres. This is apparent in his most recent release, the Phantasy EP on Dischi Autunno, which boasts splashes of acid, thick rubbery bass and moody synth pads—a sound that is both instantly recognizable and uniquely his own. Bozzi’s edits of the Eurodance hits “Let Love Shine” by Atmos and “You Make Me Feel Good” by J.K. reignite the uninhibited spirit of the original artists’ work into a contemporary context. Further, his remixes of the classic 80s French hit, “Toute Première Fois” by Jeanne Mas and of Herr Krank and Deborah Aime La Bagarre’s “Only Friends” exemplify his versatility in summoning a seesaw of emotions.
Soft Crash, Bozzi’s collaboration with Phase Fatale, delves into the darker corners of dance music. Their newest EP on Bite Records, NRG, nodded to 90s euphoria while shrouded in a hazy mystique. The former moniker of Kendal and Bozzi, INFRAVISION,showcased a hyped-up concoction of dark house and italo-inspired sounds built upon a playful and lighthearted intensity. And since Bozzi’s own imprint, Second Sight, launched in 2023, the label has focused on a catalog that depicts each artist’s own strict aesthetic pursuits. Danceable, but without boundaries, the label’s six releases are a prismatic reflection of Bozzi’s own musical tastes.
After more than one million views on his 2023 Boiler Room set at Khidi Club in Tbilisi, he’s now headlined some of the most prominent clubs and events such as Glitch Festival, Panorama Bar/
Berghain, Live From Earth, Nuits Sonores Blitz and Wire Festival. It’s clear—with his ability to maintain an energetic tension on dance floors and to adapt to each diverse, nebulous crowd—
Pablo Bozzi has captivated audiences far and wide with his undeniable allure.
—Ornella—
