To go through the different eras of Hudson Mohawke is to embark on a long voyage that takes you from 2006 all the way to 2024, encountering the likes of A$AP Rocky, Pusha T, Danny L Harle, Lil Wayne, Kanye West and most recently, Charli XCX along the way. It will take you through an innovative phase in the early 2010s, where Hudson, together with Lunice under the moniker of TNGHT, became the most important thing in electronic dance music at the moment, birthing the trap sound that would go on to dominate both the underground and mainstream. Tracks like "Higher Ground" and "Goooo" were game-changers, influencing a generation of producers and becoming festival anthems worldwide.
Fast forward to his most recent work, like the “Cry Sugar” album, a world-bridging conceptual work that was met with acclaim on all levels and continued to push Hudson’s desire for sonic innovation with its cinematic and eclectic approach. Or his club music collaborations with Tiga and Nikki Nair that range from deep to quirky that have become DJ favorites all around the world for their maximalist yet thought-out sound design.
As a DJ himself, HudMo is a treasure. From festival appearances at Primavera Sound and Dekmantel to back-to-back sets with the likes of VTSS, the Scottish artist has proven he knows how to do it all. A consistent innovator in electronic music, Hudson Mohawke has permanently etched his name into the history books.
Joining Hudson on this special night are none other than RBMA graduate Metabora and NetCafe co-founder White Gloss. These two producers, sound designers, and DJs share a diverse and forward-thinking creative ethos—if there was ever a perfect night, it’s with these three.
