Tweede Paasdag 2025 Live optreden van Little Tango Orchestra.
Op 21 april 2025 kunnen we tijdens de Paassalon dansen op live muziek van LITTLE TANGO ORCHESTRA, dat 2 sessies van ca. 30 minuten voor ons gaat spelen (1e sessie rond 18:30, tweede rond 20:00). In de tijd dat het orkest niet optreedt kunnen we dansen op de mooie tanda’s van DJ El Rojo.
Het wordt weer een onvergetelijke paassalon. De deuren gaan open om 5 uur ‘s middags en we dansen door tot de klok van 10.
De entree is 15 euro.
LITTLE TANGO ORCHESTRA speelt Argentijnse tango : van traditionele nummers uit de gouden jaren ’40 met poëtische teksten van Homero Manzi tot modernere stukken van componisten als Astor Piazzolla en Julián Peralta. Het repertoire varieert: bij een tangosalon worden voornamelijk ritmische dansnummers gespeeld : tango, wals, milonga (snelle tango) en bij een luisterconcert eerder moderne composities, afgewisseld met traditionele tango en soms een Zuid-Amerikaans folklorenummer. Little Tango Orchestra bestaat sinds 2019. Na een eerste tournee in Zwitserland volgde de coronacrisis, die de band heeft gebruikt om opnames te maken voor hun eerste album Baldosa Floja. Dit kleine orkest speelt in Nederland, België en Zwitserland.
LITTLE TANGO ORCHESTRA bestaat uit:
Peter Biesboer (bandoneón) woonde jarenlang in Brazilië, waar hij kennis maakte met de vele prachtige muziekstijlen uit het land. In die tijd speelde hij nog accordeon. Zijn interesse voor de tango ontstond pas later: sinds tien jaar speelt hij bandoneón, onder andere in Tango Orkest Amsterdam en La Barra.
Willem Gotink (gitaar) maakte ooit met een muziektheatergroep een tournee door Midden-Amerika en speelde later Jiddische muziek en flamenco. Al ruim twee decennia gaat zijn liefde (voornamelijk) uit naar tango. Eerder trad hij op met zijn groep La Ocasión, een tango-ensemble dat veel in Nederland en soms op de Antillen speelde.
Maarten Klomp (contrabas) speelt al jaren bas in diverse jazzbands en een klezmerband. Vijf jaar geleden raakte hij verslingerd aan de tango, vooral aan het wat modernere repertoire. Nu speelt hij onder andere bij Tango Orkest Amsterdam en Little Tango Orchestra.
Evelyne Montens (zang) begon met tangodansen en verdiepte zich gaandeweg in de liedteksten en de zang. Haar fascinatie leidde haar naar milongas en tangoconcerten in Buenos Aires en naar peñas en folklorefestivals in het noorden, waar ze steeds opnieuw samenwerkt met verschillende muzikanten om haar eigen stem te blijven ontwikkelen. Ze treedt afwisselend op in Nederland en in Argentinië.

Easter Monday 2025 Live performance by Little Tango Orchestra.
On 21 April 2025, during the Easter Salon, we can dance to live music LITTLE TANGO ORCHESTRA, which will play 2 sessions of approx. 30 minutes for us (first session at 18:30, second at 20:00). During the time the orchestra is not performing, we can dance to the beautiful tandas of DJ El Rojo.
It will be another unforgettable Easter Salon. Doors open at 5pm and we will dance on until the clock of 10pm.
The entrance fee is 15 Euros.
LITTLE TANGO ORCHESTRA plays Argentine tango : from traditional songs from the golden 40s with poetic lyrics by Homero Manzi to more modern pieces by composers such as Astor Piazzolla and Julián Peralta. The repertoire varies: at a tango salon, mainly rhythmic dance numbers are played : tango, waltz, milonga (fast tango) and at a listening concert rather modern compositions, interspersed with traditional tango and sometimes a South American folk song. Little Tango Orchestra has been in existence since 2019. A first tour in Switzerland was followed by the corona crisis, which the band used to make recordings for their first album Baldosa Floja. This little orchestra plays in the Netherlands, Belgium and Switzerland.
LITTLE TANGO ORCHESTRA consists of:
Peter Biesboer (bandoneón) lived in Brazil for many years, where he was introduced to the country's many wonderful musical styles. At the time, he was still playing the accordion. His interest in tango came later: he has been playing bandoneón for ten years, in Tango Orkest Amsterdam and La Barra, among others.
Willem Gotink (guitar) once toured Central America with a music theatre group and later played Yiddish music and flamenco. For over two decades, his love has been (mainly) for tango. He previously performed with his group La Ocasión, a tango ensemble that played a lot in the Netherlands and sometimes on the Antilles.
Maarten Klomp (double bass) has played bass for years in various jazz bands and a klezmer band. Five years ago, he got hooked on tango, especially the more modern repertoire. He now plays with Tango Orkest Amsterdam and Little Tango Orchestra, among others.
Evelyne Montens (vocals) started dancing tango and gradually immersed herself in lyrics and singing. Her fascination led her to milongas and tango concerts in Buenos Aires and to peñas and folklore festivals in the north, where she keeps working with different musicians to keep developing her own voice. She performs alternately in the Netherlands and in Argentina.
