About this Event
The annual P-22 Day Festival celebration is taking place on October 23rd, 2021. This year our festival will be a hybrid; both online via our P-22’s Wildlife Wonderland platform, as well as in-person at Griffith Park—with limited capacity programs occurring throughout the day.

Alan Salazar will read his new book, . He will share with audiences how the book was made, more on the story, and how illustrations were developed. Mr. Salazar will also share the Rainbow Bridge story that is tied to the creation of the wildlife bridge, followed by a Q&A.

About the presenter

Alan Salazar is a traditional storyteller, a native educator, and an elder in the Ferdandiño Tataviam Band of Mission Indians. This story recounts the adventures of a little towhee bird as he learns about the joys and dangers of his home in the beautiful California chaparral.

This program is limited to 25 participants. Patrons attending this program must be fully vaccinated, and children who are not eligible for vaccinations will be required to wear masks. This event will comply with Los Angeles County public health guidelines for COVID-19, which are subject to change.
