Join me for a unique afternoon of creativity, ceramics, and freshly shucked oysters!

While enjoying oysters provided by Great Lake Oyster Club, you’ll glaze your own set of handmade ceramic pieces.

Whether you’re brand new to ceramics or have experience in the studio, this workshop offers a relaxed and welcoming environment to experiment with color, surface, and texture!

You’ll have access to a wide variety of glazes, specialty materials, and decorative techniques ranging from beginner-friendly to more advanced applications. I’ll provide inspiration, and 1:1 guidance to help bring your ideas to life.

Once fired, your finished pieces become functional works of art, perfect for cocktails, condiments, snacks, jewelry, or simply displaying on a shelf.

Need Inspiration?

One of the biggest challenges in glazing is deciding where to start. Before the workshop, you’ll receive access to a curated inspiration video featuring glaze combinations, effects, and techniques that can be recreated during class. Prefer to come with a plan? Feel free to send me inspiration images ahead of time and I’ll do my best to accommodate specific materials or techniques.

Finished Piece Pickup

Please allow a minimum of two weeks for firing and finishing. Completed work can be picked up from my home studio in Avondale Chicago at North Washtenaw and West Nelson.

Alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages are available for purchase from the Color Club Tavern inside the venue.

Want More Oysters?

Additional oysters can be requested in advance for $2 each. Just reach out before the event and I’ll make arrangements.

Attire

Wear comfortable clothes and shoes that you don't mind getting dirty or messy. Bring an apron if you like.
