Oyster Mushroom Production

This growing season, we will offer a monthly series of workshops at our South Chicago Farm to support the development of local aspiring growers. A ticket for the workshop is $100; we. are offering a reduced cost ticket of $25 in exchange for 3 workshare hours at our South Chicago farm. Workshare hours need to be completed a week in advance of the workshop date in order for the reduced cost to be honored. If they are not completed, the ticket holder will be charged the additional $75 upon arrival to the workshop. Each workshop includes:

Oyster Mushroom Production: Oyster mushrooms produce quickly, require few resources, can be grown in easily accessible materials and don’t take up mushroom on the farm! In this workshop we’ll cover our fun-guide to diversifying your farm production throughout the year by incorporating mushroom into your crop plan. You’ll leave with the hands-on experience and knowledge to start growing your own oyster mushrooms. Additional materials will be available for purchase if you would like to take home your own mushroom bucket.
