About this Event
The Seminole County Lake Management Program and Seminole Education, Restoration, and Volunteer (SERV) Program invite you to participate in a shoreline planting event on Saturday, October 23rd. Join us and help to plant shoreline vegetation to improve water quality and habitat for wildlife. Please plan to get muddy and wet during the event. Closed-toed shoes are required (e.g. old sneakers that can get wet, water shoes, boots). Old clothes, gardening gloves, and sun protection are also recommended. Each volunteer must turn in a completed liability form upon arrival. For more information please call Elizabeth Stephens at 407-665-2457 or email [email protected]. Please note: Volunteers who have not been fully vaccinated are required to wear a facial covering/mask and practice social distancing when interacting with other members of the public and staff (at the beginning and end of the event). Facial coverings/masks are not required when volunteers are spread out to work independently during the actual planting activity.
