Following our fantastic sold-out 2024 Vasilopita event, we are so excited to present to you our bigger and better party for 2025! We've moved to a new and exciting venue, The Taproom @ The Tap Social Movement in Botley, and we've invited the amazing live traditional Greek band 'Amalgama' to take you on a musical journey around Greece in what will be their first time performing in Oxford.
Oxford Greek Dancing invites you to an evening of traditional Greek music and dancing and the cutting of the Vasilopita (the Greek New Year's cake). Will you be the lucky one to find the coin in the cake?
Oxford Greek Dancing will give a display of traditional Greek dancing. The floor will then be opened up for the 'glendi' and we invite you all to come and dance our way around the regions of Greece!

About The Band
Amalgama (n.) /əˈmalɡəma/ A mixture of different elements
Formed in 2016 in London by G.Aggelopoulos, K.Rafeletos and G.Tsolakis, Amalgama consists of musicians from diverse musical backgrounds who share the same love for Greek music. The band's influences range from traditional folk songs originated from various parts of Greece to more modern compositions which bear the 'signature' of significant artists.

About the venue:
The Taproom will be operating a full bar with, of course, their range of craft beers, spirits, and cocktails. They will also be operating a pizza kitchen (weather permitting) where you will be able to buy a range of freshly cooked pizzas to enjoy inside!
Getting Here:
We recommend coming to the venue by bus. There are frequent services to and from Oxford Railway Station and the journey takes just over 5 minutes. Get off at the 'Minns Industrial Estate' bus stop.
There is free parking on the industrial estate for 2 hours. After 2 hours, cars will be ticketed by the estate management. We recommend parking at Seacourt Park and Ride or the West Way Shopping Centre - both just a short walk away.
The venue also has cycle racks for cyclists.
Come one, come all!
Dogs, kids, grandparents, everyone is welcome!
