Learn the fundamentals of modern calligraphy in our engaging and enjoyable morning workshop.Emma is our regional ambassador in Oxfordshire teaching beginners workshops for both brush and nib calligraphy providing a relaxed environment in which to learn. Emma will be at The West Oxford Community Centre so join us and learn how to create beautiful lettering.
Our 2.5-hour dip pen workshop is specifically designed for beginners. We’ll build your confidence by gradually adding to your understanding of the techniques which make modern calligraphy so beautiful. By the end of the class, you’ll have progressed from making basic strokes to being able to connect letter forms to create your own words and phrases.
You will use metallics and also try some colour blending and with these techniques in your repertoire, you will soon be creating bespoke greeting cards, invitations and maybe even some beautiful artwork to dress your home or gift to a loved one.
