ABOUT THE WORKSHOP:
How do you proclaim a poem as though you have become it? Your roots must reach into the earth of who you are— your hands must be branches. Your heart must be open— your truth must be spoken. Do not be afraid of your own words— they are you. In these two hours you will learn as much performance poetry technique as ArunDitha can offer, so that you can own your voice just a little bit more. This workshop is ideal for those who practice writing poems but are not yet familiar or comfortable with performing, as well as those who have a basic or early-stage performance practice. You will need to bring a poem you have written and would like to embody.
