Fresh off the energy of the ETA conference, one thing is clear. The operators who win long-term aren't just great at running the day-to-day. They know their numbers. The Format: One hour of education up front, then three hours of open networking. This is our first Industry Night, open to business owners, operators, and the service providers who work with them.

3:00 PM - 4:00 PM | Education Colin King, CPA, CFA, President and CEO of Profit Mastery, will lead a hands-on, interactive session designed specifically for people who build, buy, and run small businesses. This isn't a lecture. It's a working session where you'll walk away with tools you can use the next morning.

4:00 PM - 7:00 PM | Open Networking The rest of the evening is yours. VFW Carmel has a great patio bar and we plan to use it. Grab a drink, make some introductions, and connect with business owners and service providers across Indianapolis.

What You'll Learn: How to read and actually use your financial statements (not just hand them to your accountant). Cash flow management strategies that keep your business healthy. Pricing and profitability analysis, are you actually making money? The key financial metrics every operator should track monthly. How to spot problems in your numbers before they become crises.

Who This Is For: This event is for operators and the people who work with them. Business owners, acquirers, builders, and the CPAs, attorneys, lenders, brokers, and consultants who support them. Whether you just closed on your first acquisition, you've been running a family business for 10 years, or you're actively searching for a deal, this session will sharpen the financial lens you use to make decisions. About Colin King: Colin King, CPA, CFA is President and CEO of Profit Mastery and Principal at Circle City Capital Group, an Indianapolis-based holding company managing a portfolio of businesses representing more than $25M in revenue and over 100 employees.

Colin became President of Profit Mastery when Circle City acquired the company in October 2023. He graduated from Indiana University's Kelley School of Business with a Master's degree in Accounting, spent two years as an auditor with Ernst & Young where he obtained his CPA license, then six years as a Senior Equity Research Analyst at Kirr, Marbach & Co., an Indiana registered investment advisor, where he earned his CFA charter.

In 2018, Colin co-founded Circle City Capital Group and has since completed 15 acquisitions across consumer goods, logistics, distribution, and financial services. He serves as CFO for several portfolio companies and has hands-on experience with the financial challenges small business owners face every day.

Colin publishes Profit Perspectives, a weekly newsletter on small business finance, profitability, and cash flow with over 300 subscribers. His approach is built from running real businesses, not from textbooks. Everything he teaches at Profit Mastery comes from what he uses to manage his own portfolio of companies.
