About this Event

Hosted by the Land of Lakes Bird Alliance

This outing is appropriate for all birders! We will be listening and watching for owls (and coyotes!). Learn how to be a responsible Owler, when the best time to hear and possibly see these enigmatic birds, and what owls call Minnesota home.

Good to Know:

  • We will be standing for long periods to listen for owls.
  • Dress for the weather and bring a headlamp or flashlight.
  • Individuals under 18 years must be accompanied by an adult.
  • We will meet outside, in front of the Nature Center.
  • Accessibility description: The parking lot is paved. The wooded trail is flat with wood chips, some areas of this trail are packed dirt and small rocks. There are some sections where the trail is a boardwalk.
  • There are a couple of benches on the trail.
  • There are bathrooms inside the entrance of the nature center that are usually open in the evenings.

Please contact Stephanie Roettger ([email protected]) with questions.
