Learn the basics of Scandinavian flat-plane carving through this Owl Carving class! The Scandinavian flat-plane style of woodcarving is a style of figure carving where the figures are carved in large flat planes, created primarily using a carving knife. Perfect for beginner carving students and a fantastic follow-up to our spoon class.
Students will be carving an Owl figurine fashioned as a standing figure. Students will be learning basic woodcarving techniques and how to apply those cuts to create an expressive figure. No experience necessary, all tools and supplies will be provided.
