My name is Owen Quincy, and I’m a musician based in Utah. I started out studying opera in college, spending my summers performing in opera houses in Italy. Despite my admiration for the art form, I found my true love was in my connection with an audience, so I walked away, embracing folk and alternative music. I am now beginning to perform around the American West.
This is when I wrote Lyre Man, my Schubert inspired concept record coming out in September of 2025. It is rich in poetry and leitmotifs (for all the opera nerds out there) but it was vitally important to me that each and every song be able to stand on its own two feet, and after having worked with some incredible people, I couldn't be happier with what it has turned into.
If you like the rhythm of the Lumineers, or the blue and melancholy poetry of Gregory Alan Isakov, I might be right up your alley.

Shadow Julian is a San Francisco based duo made up of vocalist Marina Davis and guitarist Brig Urias. Their music is a product of their love for classical chamber music and contemporary styles. Their song cycle, Through the Endless Coil, premiered in 2023, and is their first completed work together. Their forthcoming album of the same title features this song cycle with added instrumentation and additional new songs. Shadow Julian seeks to create music that is not genre-bound. Both Marina and Brig enjoy performing multiple styles and genres outside of their duo, including opera and heavy metal.
