​What Happens When the Adversary Fights Back?

Abstract:

OWASP is partnering with Reflex Security to run something we’ve never done before: a live, AI-powered cyber crisis simulation.

Here’s the premise: OWASP has been breached. Member data is at risk. A threat actor is making demands. And we need a team to respond. This isn’t a slide deck. There’s no script. You’ll step into real incident response roles and work as a team to contain a crisis in real time, powered by Reflex Security’s AI simulation platform.

The adversary adapts to your decisions, and AI agents fill key roles like legal counsel and communications, so every session runs at full speed regardless of team composition.

Ron Dilley, former CISO of Warner Bros. and current advisor to Reflex Security, will facilitate each session.

Details:

• Two virtual sessions the week of April 20 (90 minutes each, via Zoom)

• Small teams of 5–10 per session

• Sessions available at different times to accommodate your schedule

• Results and key findings will be presented at our April 30 th in-person chapter meeting

When you sign up, let us know your experience level and preferred role (incident responder, CISO/executive, GRC/compliance, or communications) so we can build balanced teams.

At our April 30 meeting, we’ll break down what happened. Participants will share their firsthand experience, and we’ll walk through the results side by side: how each team organized, where they excelled, where gaps appeared, and what the differences reveal about real-world incident readiness.

Whether or not you participated in the virtual sessions, this is a great opportunity to see a fundamentally new approach to tabletop exercises and discuss what it means for how we prepare our teams.
