About this Event

About this event:

Are you a team leader, entrepreneur or overwhelmed parent juggling work and the rest of your life? Are you looking for ways to build better relationships, enhance your performance or become a more effective leader?

The answer can be found in a three-step model derived from the science-based research in Shirzad Chamine’s New York Times best-selling book “Positive Intelligence”.

The first step is to shine the light on the trouble-making ‘saboteurs’.

Everyone has them. Those critical, judging voices in our heads that stress us out, stir us up and deflate our energy, performance, and composure. Our saboteurs wake us in the middle of the night to rebuke us about the past or worry about the future. They get us to say no when we want to say yes and trigger us into acting out in frustration and anger.

The good news is we can rewire our brains to stay calm and clear. We can reduce the effect of the saboteurs by building three ‘mental muscles’ and shift from negative to positive responses.

Join us for this 2-hour highly interactive workshop and get to know your own personal saboteurs (accessed via a quick on-line assessment).

Learn to recognize when your saboteurs are activated and driving your life choices. Once noticed, you can stop and do a few mental muscle ‘reps’ and consciously shift to explore more positive, more sage-based solutions.

Notice. Stop. Shift. You’re on your way to becoming mentally fit!

What you’ll learn:

  • which of your saboteurs are activated when you’re stressed
  • how to notice when they’re activated
  • how to shift to your best self (your sage)
  • how quickly you can build the ‘mental muscle’ to make the shift from sabotaging behaviors to sage-like perspectives so you can take calm, clear action
  • discover a few tools that energize the sage part of our brains so you can be more effective - and happier - in your personal and professional life

The best part? The results are contagious. As your mental fitness develops, you’ll create conditions where your colleagues, friends and family can experience the shift, too!
