About this Event
The Overholser Dam is an important and historically iconic part of West OKC. Join a Community Conversation about the dam’s Past, Present, and Future as we discuss its history, current conditions, and rehabilitation efforts.
The Overholser Dam was built for municipal water supply and recreation, consists of a concrete slab and buttress service spillway and a low earth fill embankment. Recent stability analyses revealed concerns, necessitating rehabilitation of the spillway and gatehouse to meet state and federal requirements.
This event is presented by the City of Oklahoma City Utilities Dept. for the purpose of keeping the community informed. There will be cookies and drinks.
