About the Venue: The Hilton Meadowlands in East Rutherford, NJ is a 15-minute car ride from Secaucus Junction, and just 10 miles from Midtown. Over The Edge rappellers will enjoy views of the New Jersey Meadowlands, the Hackensack River, the Manhattan Skyline, and MetLife Stadium.

The New Jersey Highlands Coalition is going “Over The Edge” this Earth Day Weekend because Every. Drop. Counts. Our “Over The Edge” (OTE) urban rappelling event at The Hilton Meadowlands on April 20 will highlight New Jersey’s conservation achievements and challenges while providing each bold participant with an unforgettable experience.

The first 90 registrants who successfully raise $1,000 will secure a slot to experience breathtaking views of the Meadowlands and the Manhattan skyline and the adrenaline rush of an exciting 200-foot rappel. Individuals, corporate teams, civic groups, faith communities, and others can support a sustainable future for New Jersey by registering to rappel OR donating to the cause.

The Over The Edge team of Certified Rope Access Technicians has maintained an impeccable safety record throughout their 15-year history hosting more than 1,000 urban rappelling events across the U.S. and Canada. No experience is necessary. Each participant will receive training on-site prior to their rappel. Participants must be 16 years of age or older and weigh 100 – 300 pounds. Over The Edge will work to accommodate individuals with special needs on a case-by-case basis. In case of inclement weather such as lightening or high winds, some or all rappellers may be rescheduled to Sunday, April 21.
