Jessica and Shawn invite other women and their children to join them for a beautiful day of hiking and treats. Who wants to chase views of the Hungry Horse Reservoir and mountains and then refuel with Huckleberry pie and ice cream in Hungry Horse afterward? Be prepared to pack your littles or ensure they can keep up with a moderate pace. There will be an elevation gain of about 1,500 feet over the course of several miles.
Our hike will be about a 5-8 mile round trip to the Firefighter Lookout Tower. The tower is perched along the east side of the Hungry Horse Reservoir area, at 5,676 feet. Look forward to some spectacular views of the mountains and Hungry Horse Reservoir. Afterward, as an added option, we can all enjoy treats together at the Huckleberry Patch in Hungry Horse (be sure to bring some money for this)!
