OUTSIDE LOOKING IN- an Introspective Art Journey
This show will feature a selection of Mendelson’s beautiful landscapes and folk art pieces.
Mendelson Joe Art Celebration will be on display from September 23- Oct 3 at Eclipse Art Gallery -3 Brunel Road.

Mendelson Joe’s paint career started in 1975 as an alternative outlet from music.
His paintings were a way of understanding the world and celebrating human life and nature.
Joe’s subjects include landscapes, portraits and political& social commentary.
Born July 30 1944 in Toronto, as Birrell Joseph Mendelson, Joe taught himself to play the guitar at age 11. As with his music he was a self-taught visual artist.
His paintings are vivid, colourful, sometimes playful or scathing representation of the world according to him.
Joe passed away in February 2023 at his home after a 5 year battle with Parkinsons.
