**Outside Air** is LA-based duo Charlie Glick (vocals, guitar, bass) and Kevin Farzad (drums, piano). After their band Sure Sure disbanded during the pandemic, Charlie and Kevin drifted into different pursuits—Charlie into grad school for poetry and Kevin into rock climbing. Realizing that music was their true passion, they reunited and Outside Air was born.The debut album, *Forever*, is due fall 2024. I could describe the sound to you. I could throw around words like "intimate" and "piano" and "major III chord" and "I cried,” but I’m not here to waste your time. You'll just have to hear it for yourself.
One last thing, because maybe you're wondering: what's the story behind the name, Outside Air? The guys took it from a poem Glick scribbled in 2021 on a cross country train ride. It goes like this:
In the shadow of the earth beneath a new moon, the train scrapes past Christmas in a West Virginia village. You can't smell it or see it, but you know it's there: woodsmoke in the outside air.
