Please join us Sun., May 5th, at Corporate Woods Office Park for the 13TH ANNUAL OUTPACING MELANOMA 5K! Gather your family and friends as we raise funds and awareness to fight melanoma here in our Kansas City community.
With our event falling on "Cinco de Mayo", we encourage attendees to wear a "sombrero" - the perfect wide-brimmed hat to provide shade to your head, ears, face and neck. Our 5K kicks off at 8am, with The Three Amigos Mariachi Band.
Too young to run a 5K? Sign up for our DOT-TO-DOT KID TROT. Participants receive a t-shirt, ribbon, and goody bag.
Event entertainment includes: Face Painting, Bounce House, Star Wars Characters, and 3 Amigos Mariachi Band.
You will have the opportunity to honor/remember your "warriors" by bringing pictures, posters, team t-shirts, etc, to be displayed during the event on our WARRIOR WALL. Custom signs and markers will also be provided to personalize a note of support to make our WW a meaningful tribute.
Outpacing Melanoma Foundation is a 501(c) 3 non-profit organization dedicated to funding research for and increasing awareness of melanoma by promoting prevention, screening and early detection throughout the Kansas City region. Proceeds from our 5K event support melanoma care and research at The University of Kansas Cancer Center. Outpacing Melanoma is dedicated to fighting this disease – every step of the way.

9:30am. Awards Recognition/Survivor Speakers:
Our 5K course is USATF certified and bib-timed. Participants are invited to enjoy post-race food and beverage. Strollers and dogs on a leash are welcome.
Awards:
Awards are given to the top three finishers in each age division for male and female as well as Overall Male and Female, and Overall Masters Male and Female. Age divisions: 10&U; 11-14; 15-19; 20-24; 25-29; 30-34; 35-39; 40-44; 45-49; 50-54; 55-59; 60-64; 65-69; 70-74; 75-79; 80+.
We will also recognize our top Outpacing Melanoma supporters, and hear personal stories shared by melanoma survivors.
Parking: You may enter Corporate Woods from either Antioch or College Blvd., and make your way toward Building #40 (9401 Indian Creek Parkway). The course will be closed to traffic once the event is underway so plan to arrive early to avoid congestion.
