About this Event
The Outhouse Book Club returns on Wednesday, 21 January 2026 from 6:30-8:30pm.
As we turn the page on 2025, we’re easing ourselves into the new year with a novel that’s funny, tender, and quietly hopeful. With that, the January pick is Less by Andrew Sean Greer.
Title: Less
Authors: Andrew Sean Greer
Length: ~270 pages
Description:
Arthur Less is a writer on the brink of turning fifty, recently broken up with, and deeply unsure of his place in the world. When he’s invited to the wedding of his former lover, Arthur does what any sensible person might do: he accepts a series of literary invitations around the globe in an attempt to outrun heartbreak, ageing, and disappointment. What follows is a gently comic, deeply human journey through love, failure, ambition, and self-acceptance. Less is a warm, witty novel about learning how to live — and love — a little more honestly.
