Learn how to maintain a joyful relationship with your sketchbook in this free two-hour outdoor workshop with local artist Sydney Boveng. Experiment with playful markmaking, drawing en plein air from observation, and conquering the fear of a blank page. In the setting of a small and intimate group, Sydney will show you some of her favorite ways to find joy in the sketchbook, and nurture a state of mindfulness and presence while drawing.This workshop might be perfect for you if: You enjoy drawing and want to make it a more steady practice, you find yourself "stuck" in one style or subject matter, or if you have never made art but are seeking new ways to find presence and calm in your day.
