Outdoor Office Day - Celebration & Co-Work
About this Event
Outdoor Office Day (Thursday 11th June 2026), is a global campaign to get everyone thinking about spending time outdoors in the workday.
Join The Outsiders, Edinburgh's friendliest community of freelancers and solopreneurs, in partnership with The Melting Pot, Scotland's home for social innovation, and Edinburgh Business Gateway, for a day that will get you thinking about time outdoors as a tool for innovation.
Fun and productive, we'll enjoy time outdoors together, think about how we can utilise time outdoors for creativity and innovation, and have a nature-connected co-work.
Afterwards, we'll even head to Bellfield Brewery for a beverage together.

Info: Come and use the co-work space at The Melting Pot to get a few bits done before the days activities begin!

Breakfast, stories and scene setting
Info: Enjoy pastries and coffee, and setting the scene for the day ahead!

Innovating in the Great Outdoors
Info: We'll work together to get innovative in the great outdoors! Using the principle of "possibility thinking" we'll be working in small groups to tackle our business challenges in the great outdoors.

Lunch & connect in Holyrood Park
Info: Enjoy a lunch of delicious soup and catch up with friends, and make new connections.

Enjoying time outdoors - Mindfulness, making and movement
Info: We'll have an opportunity to take part in a few different activities to explore different ways to engage with our natural environment that can boost wellbeing, creativity and be great fun!

(Optional) Nature Connected Co-Work
Info: With your head in big sky mode, get your head down and get some work done alongside your peers at the incredible Holyrood Park Rangers Education Centre

(Optional) Head along to Bellfield Brewery
Info: A chance to relax and enjoy a drink together at a great local establishment.
