About this Event

While engaging our senses and actively using movement to respond to our environment, Alexandra will lead the class through a variety of improvisational tasks and movement sequences. Tapping into organic and known ways of moving the body, this class explores how our physical movement can directly relate to the natural world while finding softness in the joints and strength from the ground. Approaching the environment as our dance partner, we’ll explore how we can move in relationship to our immediate surroundings, while consistently pulling inspiration from it to inform our movement pathways. Embracing the tactility of the natural world, as well as our sensorial reactions, we will dive into movement sequences that help us feel more interconnected with the natural world. All ages are welcome!
