Please attend our first OUTDOOR event this season on Thursday evening, May 28th at VINTAGE RESTAURANT & LOUNGE, which is at 72 Broad St. and across from the Dagny Hotel. Vintage has a nice outdoor patio that we'll use if the weather cooperates--fingers crossed! And it has good indoor space too in case it rains; the event will happen rain or shine since we're covered either way.
We'll be there from 6:30 to 9:00 p.m. (sometimes later on a Thursday). Drop by when you can. More info on Vintage Lounge is here. T and parking info are below.
Meet warm people in the warm weather! :o) And you WILL definitely meet friendly folks here. Don't complain that you can't meet people in Boston if you're not willing to come out and actually meet them in-person....and away from your phone and Zoom! We're a diverse group from all professions & walks of life. You'll make new contacts, new friends, and share some laughs during a relaxed evening of networking. Remember: It only takes one person to change your life! Please come by and join us.
PRICE:
Unless it's your first evening event, which is free (see below), the fee is $10 if paid in advance and is made when you RSVP via PAYPAL. Meetup has recently started adding a separate $1.62 fee for itself (greedy, greedy!), so the total will now be $11.62. Unfortunately, we can't waive this fee if you register through Meetup. BUT...
...if you don't want to pay it or just don't like using PayPal, you can use VENMO or ZELLE to pay just $10 instead. Please contact Dan at [email protected] or message him through Meetup for more info on doing this outside of the Meetup site.
There are NO REFUNDS, so please only RSVP if you're sure you can attend. If you have to cancel though, kindly change your RSVP.
If there's room after the event starts--and you can RSVP through Meetup until 6:30--you can still attend, but it will cost $15 (cash) at the door. No exceptions! So pre-payment is definitely a little less expensive.
IF IT'S YOUR FIRST EVENT: ATTENDING FOR FREE...
If you are new or have never been to an event, YOUR FIRST EVENT IS FREE. That way you can meet us and check out the group.
Meetup, however, won't allow you to RSVP without paying, so you must e-mail Dan at [email protected] or message him through Meetup to be put on the RSVP list--and please INCLUDE THE LINK TO YOUR BGP PROFILE so he can find you. And then be sure to come!
If you don't show and don't change your RSVP, that still counts as your first event and you'll have to pay for the next one. If you're a first-timer, please do NOT just show at the event without contacting Dan or it will cost $15 to attend.
GETTING THERE BY T:
The closest T stops are State Street on the Orange and Blue Lines or Aquarium on the Blue Line. Vintage is about a 6-7 block walk from either stop.
PARKING:
The least expensive place to park is the Post Office Square Garage at 130 Congress St. for a very reasonable $10 evening rate (after 4:00 p.m.). More info is here. The venue is about a 4-5 block walk from there.
There is valet parking by Vintage for $16 after 5:30 p.m. The parking is located behind the restaurant on Wells Street in the Folio Condominium building. This is a service of Folio and is not provided by Vintage--it's an independent garage. There are other nearby garages as well; parking on the street may be available too at that time of day.
