We are thrilled to be back for the first of two screenings at National Trust Corfe Castle to enjoy a magical evening of cinema under the stars at this thousand-year-old royal castle – one of Dorset’s most memorable outdoor cinema experiences.

A special evening service will be provided by Swanage Railway for the 2 film screenings at Corfe Castle this year.

Paddington 2 was the rare instance of a sequel that surpassed its predecessor and since all licences to screen Harry Potter films have been held back this year for the launch of the new TV series, we are sure this popular family film crowd-pleaser will be a perfect swap.
Paddington Brown is contentedly embedded with the Brown family in Windsor Gardens, with one mission: to buy Aunt Lucy the most beautiful pop-up book in London for her birthday. When it is stolen and our favourite bear finds himself wrongly convicted and dispatched to His Majesty's pleasure, the Browns must prove his innocence before the real culprit disappears. What follows is a gloriously daft, impeccably crafted caper that somehow manages to be simultaneously a prison comedy, a heist movie and a love letter to London - all without breaking a sweat. Hugh Grant, clearly having the time of his life, delivers one of British cinema's great comic villains as the magnificently vain Phoenix Buchanan.
Funny, fast and impossibly warm-hearted. Quite simply, they don't make them like this very often.

We are proud to screen the 15 minute dance film You are also Us, directed by Cathy Waller and performed by 15 dancers. It was filmed using ground-breaking drone technology in spectacular National Trust locations around Dorset. The film has been shown in film festivals internationally, picking up awards and honourable mentions and forms part of the You & Us touring triptych from Cathy Waller Company, examining themes of invisibility through photography, dance and film.
Gates open from 7.30 pm to allow you plenty of time to pick a perfect place to sit, grab a drink and enjoy a picnic before the film.
Film programme starts 8.30 pm (depending on levels of light).
Just don’t forget your chair, warm clothes, a cosy blanket - and a torch!
