Come along to our very first outdoor workshop, to coincide with the RSBP Birdwatch 2025!
We will spend time watching the birds, due to the estuary we have garden birds and sea birds to spot. Tick the ones you see and how many, then tick them off your check list. The numbers will be collated and the data sent to the RSPB.
We will learn about what birds eat and make our own bird food, just what the birds need on the cold winters day. We will explore a nesting box and learn how birds build a nest. We will also make a bird mobile. There will also be an insect themed messy table to explore.
There will be plenty of tea, coffee & hot chocolate with marshmallows to keep you warm, plus an outdoor fire with crumpets to heat on the fire.
You will need to stay with your children, but due to being outdoors we can have a few more children, but it is your responsibility to watch your child especially near the fire. There will be an adult guarding the fire also and the fire will be behind a barrier.
The session will be 1 1/2 hours, but you can leave when you are ready.
Please dress appropriately.
If you have binoculars please bring them.
