Join us for the Out in Tech Chicago X Milliman | Chicago Pride Parade on Sunday, June 30, 2024 at 10:00 AM (CDT) in W Montrose Ave & N Broadway, Chicago, IL 60640.

Celebrate Pride with Out in Tech and Milliman at the Chicago Pride Parade! This is an excellent opportunity to show your support for the LGBTQ+ community, connect with other tech professionals, and have fun! We'll have music, drinks, snacks, and more!

Dress in your best pride outfit, and let's march together in the parade. We'll provide you with all the necessary materials to make this a memorable experience. Don't miss out on this fantastic event!

When? Sunday, June 30th! Estimated 10 am meet up, parade kicks off at 11. Parade will likely end around 1 or 2 pm depending on where we are in the parade lineup.

What is marching in the parade like? Incredible! We’ll be handing out giveaways to the crowd as we walk, and pride flags will be available to wave if you choose!

Where? The exact meetup place will be communicated the week before, but it will be close to West Sheridan and Broadway. The parade route is approximately 2.5 miles, starting at Montrose and Broadway and ending at Diversey and Sheridan.

How to Get There: Highly recommended to take the CTA Red line to Wilson and walk south to the meet-up point (about 10-15 min, depending on the crowd). Due to street closures, taking the bus may be unpredictable and parking will be very difficult due to the crowds.

What to Bring: Water, sunscreen and a snack! If rain comes into the forecast, bring a raincoat or umbrella! We’ll have pride flags for anyone who wants, and a snack! If rain is to wave them as they walk.

Dos and Don'ts: No pets in the parade. Do NOT distribute any giveaways to spectators in the assembly area because you are subject to receiving a citation (ticket) if you do so. You must wait to distribute giveaways until after the Broadway/Montrose intersection, as we travel down Broadway. Also keep in mind; DO NOT TOSS items to spectators. Distribute any giveaways one at a time by walking over to the barricades and handing them to spectators as you proceed down the parade route. You can be ticketed by the police for tossing.
