Out From the Ashes Screening - A Community Engagement Fundraiser

We invite you to join us on Tuesday, June 25th, 2024 for an exclusive screening and community engagement fundraiser for our documentary feature, “Out From the Ashes”, to be held at Autistry Studios in San Rafael, CA. This film tells the harrowing tale of three generations of Ukrainian women (and their cat) fleeing from Mariupol in desperate search of safety.
4PM and 7PM screenings are available. Doors open 30 minutes before each screening.

This is a story that needs to be told, and this exclusive, intimate screening is in support of that goal. Our crew is independently funded, and this project is a labor of love - but in order to get the film in front of a larger audience we need your help. The screening is free to attend, however donations will be welcome. 50% of all funds raised will go to Autistry Studios, a therapeutic educational Maker Space whose mission is help autistic/neurodivergent teens and adults become successfully independent by leveraging their interests and talents while creating a robust, supportive, and productive community. Because Autistry is opening its space to the public it is essential that you obtain the free tickets available on this site. A strict RSVP will be enforced, and Ken doesn’t want his schmoozing interrupted by running to the front door to verify his friends.

After the screening, you are encouraged to join us for a Q&A with the film’s directors and producers, along with opportunities to lend your support.

And while you are here, grab a treat at the Autistry Cup of Gold Cafe or a gift at the Makers Market. Light snacks and refreshments will be provided.
